Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 23, 2026
The short version: DualShot is an offline-first camera app. All recording, processing and storage happen entirely on your device. We do not operate any server, do not require an account, and do not collect, transmit or sell your personal data.
1. Who We Are
DualShot ("we", "the app") is a dual-camera recording application for iOS. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at summercotton@gmail.com.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or any identity information — the app has no account system.
- We do not upload, transmit or store your photos or videos on any server. Your media never leaves your device unless you choose to share it yourself via the iOS share sheet.
- We do not use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.
- We do not access your contacts, precise location, or any data unrelated to the camera features.
3. Permissions and Why We Need Them
- Camera — to capture front and back camera footage simultaneously. Video is processed in real time on your device and saved locally.
- Microphone — to record audio together with your videos.
- Photo Library (add-only) — to save the photos and videos you create to your library, only when you explicitly choose to save. We request "add only" access and cannot read your existing photos.
You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. The app will continue to work for the features that do not require them.
4. Local Usage Logs
To help us understand feature usage and diagnose stability issues, the app can write anonymous diagnostic events (such as "recording started", "layout changed", "app crashed during recording") to a local log file stored only in the app's private container on your device. These logs:
- are identified only by an anonymous device identifier provided by iOS (identifierForVendor), which cannot be linked to your identity;
- are never transmitted off your device in the current version;
- can be turned off at any time in the app's Settings → Privacy;
- are automatically rotated and limited to a small fixed size.
5. Purchases
Paid plans (monthly subscription, yearly subscription, lifetime purchase) are processed entirely by Apple via the App Store / StoreKit. We never see or store your payment card details. Apple provides us only with a transaction confirmation that unlocks Pro features on your device. Your purchase record is stored locally on your device and in your Apple account, which you can restore at any time via "Restore Purchases".
6. Local Encryption (Pro)
If you enable local encryption, selected videos are encrypted and stored only on your device. The encryption key never leaves your device. If you forget your passcode, we cannot recover the encrypted content for you — by design, nobody can.
7. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). Since we collect no personal data from anyone, we do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
All your content and settings live on your device. Deleting the app removes all app data, including local logs and settings. Media you saved to the system Photos app remains under your control in Photos.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will post the new version at this URL with a revised effective date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on this page.

2. 我们不收集的数据
- 本应用没有账号系统，不收集你的姓名、邮箱、电话号码或任何身份信息。
- 我们不会将照片或视频上传、传输或存储到任何服务器。除非你主动通过 iOS 系统分享面板分享，否则你的媒体内容永远不会离开你的设备。
- 本应用不接入任何第三方统计、广告或追踪 SDK。
- 我们不会访问你的通讯录、精确位置，或与拍摄功能无关的任何数据。
3. 权限及其用途
- 相机——用于前后摄像头同时采集画面。视频在你的设备上实时处理并保存在本地。
- 麦克风——用于录制视频时同步收录声音。
- 照片库（仅添加）——仅在你主动选择保存时，把你拍摄的照片/视频写入系统相册。我们申请的是「仅添加」权限，无法读取你相册中的现有内容。
你可以随时在 iOS 设置中撤销上述任何权限，不依赖该权限的功能仍可正常使用。
4. 本地使用日志
为了解功能使用情况并诊断稳定性问题，本应用可将匿名诊断事件（如「开始录制」「切换布局」「录制中崩溃」）写入仅保存在设备应用沙盒内的本地日志文件。这些日志：
- 仅以 iOS 提供的匿名设备标识（identifierForVendor）标记，无法关联到你的身份；
- 在当前版本中绝不会被传输出你的设备；
- 可随时在应用内 设置 → 隐私 中关闭；
- 自动轮转，大小有严格上限。
5. 购买
付费方案（按月订阅、按年订阅、买断）完全由 Apple 通过 App Store / StoreKit 处理。我们从不会看到或存储你的支付卡信息。Apple 仅向我们提供用于在设备上解锁 Pro 功能的交易确认。你的购买记录保存在本设备与你的 Apple 账户中，可随时通过「恢复购买」找回。
6. 本地加密（Pro）
启用本地加密后，所选视频会被加密并仅存储在你的设备上，加密密钥不会离开设备。如果你忘记密码，我们无法为你找回加密内容——设计上任何人都无法找回。
7. 儿童隐私
本应用不面向 13 岁以下（或你所在地区同等最低年龄）儿童。由于我们不收集任何人的个人数据，也就不存在知悉情况下收集儿童数据的情形。
8. 数据保留与删除
你的全部内容与设置都保存在本机。删除应用即会移除应用内全部数据（包括本地日志与设置）。已保存到系统相册的媒体仍由你在「照片」应用中自行管理。
9. 本政策的变更
如本政策有更新，我们会在此网址发布新版本并更新生效日期。重大变更会在应用内或本页面显著提示。
