1. Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hidden Mark mobile application (the "App"), developed and operated by an individual developer ("we," "us," "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. App Description & Core Functionality
Hidden Mark is a local‑only privacy tool for iOS. All features run exclusively on your device with no cloud upload, no server transmission, and no remote data processing.
The App provides:
- Text to hidden sound wave generation and restoration
- Text hidden into images (light & shadow embedding)
- Text to invisible QR code generation and scanning
All content you create remains only on your device.
3. User License & Permitted Use
We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use the App solely for personal, non‑commercial use on your iOS device, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
You agree not to:
- Use the App for illegal, infringing, harmful, or unauthorized purposes
- Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works of the App
- Circumvent access control or payment features of the App
- Use the App to generate, store, or share illegal, defamatory, or infringing content
4. Subscriptions & In‑App Purchases
The App offers auto‑renewable subscriptions via Apple's In‑App Purchase (IAP):
- Weekly, monthly, and yearly subscription plans
- Prices are displayed in the App and vary by region
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions auto‑renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You may manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings
- All billing, renewal, and refund rules are handled exclusively by Apple; we do not process payments or store payment information.
5. Restore Purchases
The App provides a "Restore Purchase" function to recover active subscriptions when reinstalling the App or using a new device. This feature relies on Apple's IAP system.
6. Privacy
Your privacy is a priority. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data. Key points:
- We do not collect, upload, store, or share your personal data, content, or usage information
- All processing is local to your device
- The App requests camera, photos, and files permissions only when needed for local functions
7. Device Permissions
The App may request access to:
- Camera: for taking photos and scanning invisible QR codes
- Photos: for selecting images from your album
- Files: for saving and restoring hidden sound files
All permissions are optional. You may deny them without losing core functionality.
8. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property in the App (including design, code, UI, trademarks, and logos) remains the exclusive property of the developer. You may not copy, distribute, or use these materials without explicit permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant:
- Uninterrupted or error‑free operation
- Compatibility with all iOS versions or devices
- Absolute accuracy or reliability of hidden content generation / restoration
You use the App at your sole risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App
- We are not responsible for content you create, share, or store using the App
- We have no control over, and no liability for, content shared with third parties.
11. Compliance with Apple Terms
These Terms do not replace Apple's App Store Terms of Service. You agree to comply with both. Apple is not responsible for the App, support, warranty, or liability related to the App.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
